Can these two games compare, or will they be comparable once LOTR Online finally comes out? I already hear some worried voices heralding LOTR Online as the next World of Warcraft… and I honestly hope they're mistaken – not that I don't like WoW, but I don't think the spirit of that game would suit the LotR setting very well.

So, then … what's your point? You think they'll turn out alike, but you're hoping they don't? Fine, whatever. I personally don't see all that much of WoW in LOTRO (at least in what we've heard about LOTR so far). I realize comparisons can't be avoided, both being somewhat classical fantasy RPGs, but still.
