Was thinking of a...
Samsung SyncMaster 19" CRT Monitor with DynaFlat Screen 997DF

200$ ain't shabby from Bestbuy, and I have like 50 bucks in rewardpoints. But not really sure whether it's the best bang for my buck, so any suggestions would be welcome.

To get a good LCD i'd have to spend triple what i planned. And even then it wouldn't be better, just take up less space. =P

yeah mine was about 500 (after 100 mail in rebate)
its a 17" samsung
it works great though and that 500 includes a warrantee for 3 years where if even 1 pixel goes out i can replace it (bestbuy warrantee) .. UT looks pretty .. it isnt gigantic .. i actually have desk space .. and the auto adjust feature on LCDs is just sweet
if you dont got the $ to spend then a CRT is fine, its just gigantic .. but once you go to a nice LCD you dont go back
but yeah boo @ crt

bs CRT are still superior, I dont care what you think
I bought the 21 inch Samsung TFT LCD for 1400 bux and let me tell you it looked like ass and all the blurring and ghosting gave me a headache, so I went and bought a 22 inch Viewsonic for like 400 bucks (thats a thousand less for you dumbfucks) and I can tell you it is a much much much superior product.
Oh and to run anything in anything but native resolution on a LCD makes it all look like ass, no thank you.

hmm yeah so buy a new desk child.
Let me see buy a refurb monitor for 200 bucks, put a frys guarantee on it for 50 or pay 700 dollars for a POS 17 flat panel that basically sucks for any type of gaming besides solitaire.
