1. Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures

This game is placed in mythical world depicted in John Milius ‘Conan the Barbarian’ movie in the 1982.
Huge battles and castle sieges will be essence of this game. With fantastic graphics of game environment and characters, and good story and gameplay, sure it will be one of contenders for 2007 best game award.

News is that this game is single player RPG in the beginning, because of reducing ‘noob’ factor of the game, and later becomes purebred MMORPG.

2. The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar

Logical step is to turn one of basics of each MMORPG into massive online game.

Not only Tolkien fans would be delighted with this game. Gameplay inspired with Tolkien’s world and with Jackson's movie trilogy and awesome graphics engine will attract all players to embark into magic world of Middle Earth.

Developers of this game, ‘Turbine’ already have experience with MMORPGs : Asheron’s Call and D&D Online. So, there shouldn’t be unpleasant surprises with this game. However, we’ll see…

3. Tabula Rasa

Creators of Ultima Online are working on their new game.

Tabula Rasa will be radically different from traditionally MMORPGs. Swords and magic are substituted with high tech weapon and high technology in this game.

However, precisely information about this game is still kept in secret. We’ll have to wait late autumn of 2007 to see.

4. Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

This game is under development of Sigil Games and Brad McQuaid, who is responsible for Everquest game.

Vanguard is expected to be serious challenger to WoW's dominance in gamers’ world. That will be tough battle for sure.
Vanguard shows potential to raise and become most popular MMO game in the forthcoming year, but it will be hard to beat WoW.

But, again year 2007 will show the truth.

5. World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade

Finally, dessert for the end.

Even those who never played any MMORPG in their life know that WoW is the best massive game, by choice of majority players in the world.

So, let’s not spend words how gorgeous and beautiful and fascinating and impressive is World of Warcraft.

All impatiently wait for the latest expansion named The Burning Crusade. This expansion shall give opportunity to the players who have reached top level to gain extra ten power levels for their characters. Also, a whole new continent will be added to this expansion and large number of new dungeons.
I already see hardcore players’ smile.
Two new races, the Blood Elves and the Dranaei will be introduced in Burning Crusade expansion as well.

In Blizzard say, that The Burning Crusade is only beginning. They’re planning to release new expansion each 12 months.

Surely good news for the forthcoming year.
