Have you ever had one. How did it work.
The reason I ask is because me and my girlfriend are 2 hours apart in college and it just started. She is at some small hick-ass place and I am at a University. I feel better knowing that the only guys at her school are actually fat girls chewing tobacco but it still kind of worries me. I really want to stay together and she says she does to but I do not know.
Therefor I come here to Realpoor for advice. How do you think it will work out?

What the f**k ever. I dont care what its technically called, we wont see each other but once a month or something like that because her schedule is busy. Bottom line its a relationship apart d*****s.
I am asking the younger crowd if they have ever had one, not you bum adults stuck at a dead-end job sucking on coffee and j*********f in the restroom at 3 everyday posting on the internet.

Looking for a post from someone a little younger than my dad. I am 18 at college and she is 18 at college playing a sport on scholarship. I dont have the time to pick up and drive 2 hours there and back everyday like you dead beat adults with 6 kids and no job.

This probably isn't going to work out for you, people change quite a bit in college and they don't usually want to be in relationships like this for very long. It's not impossible, but all the people I've known who tried this kind of thing during early college had breakups (cheating usually) within 1 years time.

My girlfriend lives 970 miles away. I buy a ticket once a month to see her, she buys one once a month to come see me. If we lived 2 hours away and even 1 of us had a car, we'd see each other every weekend and once during the week.
It sounds like you're a p***y and your girlfriend is a fat s**t, sucking c**k on her knees while she experiments with group **** in her s****y community college.
Best of luck,
Dave

I actually wasn't trying to flame him - it is just a really easy topic to flame.
Hobbet sir please think about finding even a 4-hour window where you two can see each other. All it takes is planning. If it's casual, try to work it for a few montghs and then slowly go insane as you see more and more guys names on her caller ID. Or butch girls, as you say.

I just spent 5 months in a long distance relationship. We didn't go 1 day without talking. Communication is the first thing you need to make sure you have. The second thing you need is an out-plan. An out-plan is something to look foward to at the end of your wait. So is there going to be a time when you could both be closer together? Or maby a time when you could be with her on a more level basis? All I can say is if you both really want it to work out you will have to really dig each other and make a real effort to make it work.
My wait is over. In 3 days I fly over to Texas to live 20 minutes away from my girlfriend! /happy face on
GL to you

Yeah I pretty much have this electric job bagged. It works out great though because the school I need to go to is in Austin which is only 45mins away from San Antonio and my girl lives in San Antonio. I'll be driving down there on thursday with her and mnving in with a good friend in the army there. Hes CI so they got him setup nice in a house by himself. The whole situation worked out great, but I did have to wait awile before things came together like they did. If you are ever in the Live Oak/San Antonio area look me up.

2 hours may not be THAT bad, as far as a long distance relationship goes. It's still long distance though. Especially for a college student.
Question: Did the relationship start as a long distance relationships?
Generally I think that relationships that start real close then turn to long distance relationships have a good chance to survive. But the ones that start long distance have a horrible chance to survive.

I'm sure she'll end up f*****g a couple of other guys, (they're going to run a train on her, you know) and you guys will break up, and then you won't have to worry about it, kid.

Don't kiss her ass and she will start to wonder what's YOU are up to. Then she will be the one worrying and you will have the upper hand.
