This is a hard choice you are putting us in front. You have two marvelous weapons and one of them is not better then the other, at least that is how much I know about weapons. I think that I would choose sword, because this weapon is somehow out in the open and I like a clean fight. A dagger is more concealed and I associate it with dirty fighting. I know this is not a correct view at the situation, but that is just one reason why would I decide on one option better then on other, when they both look very similar. I hope I helped you even a bit.
