I gave blood today; I feel used and proud at the same time, kinda like a h****r's first day on the job trying to buy her baby diapers.

This thread was funny for a half-second.

That's why it pains me to point out that the word is spelled "essence."

Essence cannot be any higher than an 8th grade reading level. Remind me why you correct others' grammar again?

Your blood was well appreciated, and we of the Coven are grateful as it's been rather slow lately.

Are you joking?

How many threads with you correcting someone else's spelling and/or grammar do you want me to bump? 10? 50?

Im the last to be clichéd as a 13 year old.

Yes, I do correct others' grammar mistakes; but in this case I did not care about the spelling of essence.

The word cliché is a noun, according to dictionary.com, and cannot be used as a verb in the English language.

Mental_Hernia started it.

I really couldn't give 2 s***s about most people's grammar/spelling. I mean I read over posts by ATM and Paden all day without saying a word. But as I explained before, when you're clearly ranked in the bottom 5 posters in the grammar/spelling category, going around correcting others' mistakes is a bit hypocritical, don't you think?

I have no idea what thread I'm replying to, so I guess I'll just stick in the default Meter:

Yeah, but Paden just can't comprehend grammar. I've seen him try and fix his mistakes, however, they just seem to get worse; he'll throw in an apostraphe to appease himself here and there; think of it like so: a dog who is told to lie down but doesn't know how, so he simply flounders a bit.

ATM doesn't seem dumb, very much like Atarom, they're just farming so many posts that shifting and punctuating are passe.

And Mental Hernia is usually the one who attempts at correcting other's grammatical errors, which is a fairly noble community service, however, the chances of any of it rubbing off on those who need it is slim to none.

What's more: I've noticed Mental Hernia's fetish for semi-colons, which is pleasurable, because they're awfully rare! (Especially on Realpoor)

dictionary.com should pop up by default if a post has over 20 misspelled words.

atm, i just looked at your website (i'm bored for the life of me!) and noticed GC's aim was rildothecrafty--the aim name that used to try and buy my account (and, once more, why i remember something so trivial is beyond me)!

Now isn't that just a coinky-dink.

Whoa whoa, bottom 5? Let's not say things we can't take back.

Don't hyperbolize the situation so much.

And if you want to start having to search for technicalities, cliché's base form is: French, past participle of clicher, to stereotype

I too have noticed my fascination with semicolons..Not sure where that comes from, but they are all used correctly, are they not?
