I rarely pirate anymore, I run Linux I don't have to. When I was using Windows I didn't pirate software because I had nothing or because I couldn't afford the software. I'm very anti-corporate, not a sandal wearing tree hugger, but I believe that companies shouldn't take advantage of those who don't know any better.

Pirating is for people who don't wanna pay out the ass for stuff that shouldn't cost a shitload.
Who wants to pay 250 for microsoft office full edition? Who wants to pay 200 for a complete version of windows?
They can suck my left nut, when they price things down to earth then it'd be worth it. People wonder why some people want outsourcing...

i think that modern day internet piracy is an extension of capitalism. people are telling the music companies that they charge an unreasonable amount for their product and that they need to stop price collusion.

I see no reason people getting microsoft office for home use (not work) should have to pay more than $50 bucks for it. If you use it for work that's paid, that's another story. Essentially you are buying the license to generate commericial documents.
