I thought I knew at least a little of everything out there then one day it dawns on me I had always sidestepped ordinals past "tenth" because I didn't know how to say it and the way that I've heard it, by adding "-abo" on to the end of it just sounded wrong.
For your benefit I have included it here for you.
Ordinals
1st - primero (a)
2nd - segundo (a)
3rd - tercero (a)
4th - cuarto
5th - quinto
6th - ****
7th- septimo
8th - octavo
9th - noveno
This is as far I knew or as far as I tried to use because words like "diezabo" sounded very wrong to me and I preferred to simply say "el diez" So here are my findings.
10th - decimo (a)
11th - decimo (a) primero (a)
12th - decimo (a) segundo (a)
.... and so on until
20th - vigésimo (a)
30th - trigésimo (a)
40th - cuadragésimo (a)
50th - quincuagésimo (a)
60th - ****ésimo (a)
70th - septuagésimo (a)
80th - octogésimo (a)
90th - nunagésimo (a)
and 100th is of course centimo (a)
all ordinal sets of 10 continue to use primero(a) segundo(a), tercero(a), etc, those do not change.
There's your language lesson for the day.
