I just started gathering info on the Lord f the Rings Online and already I’m really confused. As I understand it, there won’t be PvP as it is in WoW for example, but you’ll have to choose between either a ranger or a monster in a special areas for fighting and that’s the only form of PvP. That sounds pretty dumb.

Well, you didn’t hear it the right way. The truth is there won’t be the usual PvP system but you’ll have special areas where you’ll be able to play a monster character and engage in combat. But it doesn’t have anything to do with rangers – rangers are not one of the playable classes in LotR.
