LOTR Online Does Minstrel know to fight?

So, as I understand the Minstrel is going to be the healer type of character in LOTRO, right? Well, is anything else known about this class yes? What about its combat ability? Can it hold its own in a fight at least reasonably well? Is there someplace where I can read more about it?
Not all that much is known at the time, really. As far as I know, it does have some combat abilities but they are mostly not in the solo type. It has herald's strike ("a melee attack that does extra damage"), but little more than that. See here for more: http://lotro.turbine.com/article/65
