The biggest flaw is definitely crafting. Every crafting profession is interdependent. That makes it a lot harder to progress in your craft. The best way to overcome this flaw is to have a friend who will give you certain supplies when you need them. Crafting needs work, as has been noted in many forums on the internet. Some professions are working a lot better than others at the moment (armorsmiths appear to be doing the best among those who actually make things), but Turbine will sort it out eventually. Also, prices at Auction House are so far over priced, that you need days of playing to get that much gold.
