I was told that Lord of the rings online is a game like no other. I was also told that I will never see something like this, but I think that I have already seen something so much better and I am not talking about that game now. I am just interested in Lord of the rings online. LOTRO nothing spectacular?

I would not agree with you on this one. I think that this game has a great potential, and it is not the designers’ problem that players think that this game should have ten time better graphics then it is usual for online games today. This is the common problem among users. They all have something to say about the graphics and they have no idea what are the tendencies in game industry today. They expect to get something similar to the thing they see on the big screen and this is not something that will be available soon in online games.

Don't expect the game to look like the movies. I don't play lotro anymore, but I had fun while I played it. It has great graphics and I always had fun with the quests, but it is more pve oriented than pvp.

LOTRO is alot of fun. I bought the lifetime membership and played a character to 50 (champ) and a burglar to 32. I can honestly say the game has a bit for everyone and the story is alot of fun while questing.

I despised this game for being too wowish, it looked like "been there done that" mmo , game is actually similar to previous Turbine games , Asheron's Call 2especially, well I liked AC2, but LOTRO? Never, it just lacks some atmosphere.

Yeah I like AC2 but hated LOTR. Reminded me too much of WoW quest wise.

yeah but it's PvE all the way after all, forget about that stupid Monster Play, it has nothing to do with PvP to be honest
so yeah if you are PvE fan, you may want to check out LOTRO

It was optimized great, so sweet graphics with low requirements. Great if you like PvE.

LOTRO is awesome in that it has so many places that it can go. It is also currently the only game that I know of where you can actually get response FROM THE DEVS on their forums.
I also have NEVER heard of any other MMORPG devs do what these ones decided to do one day on their test server. Patience put out a messege to everyone on the server that just said, "Ready to have some fun?" and instantly they decided to pop the raid bosses from Helegrod and the Rift in the PvMP area. It was such a blast. You had free people and monster players trying to take down these bosses that have 150k+ HP when you only have 3-5k, then at the same time, free people and monster players are trying to kill eachother. It was THE most fun I have ever had in a PvP game before.
This is one where the devs are just cool people that get that we are playing this game to have fun, and that is something that I have not really seen in other games as well.

Agreed, it has potential. The reason it is lacking the oomph right now is because its PvE driven. There is no harm in making a WoW copy, and if anything they could strongly rival it IF they let mordor/isengard/evil force (whatever you want to name them) as a fully functioning faction with proper quests, character creation, towns etc...
This would open the game up for open world PvP and would truly bring the world of Middle-earth to life. Imagine batallions of uruk-hai invading The Shire, burning homes and killing the villagers.

I actually suggested PvP be a crucial element to this game, and it got shot down because of poor design choices. The developers said "PvP wouldn't fit in LOTRO" and i was just STUNNED. Then again, you're only limited to choosing good side players, so while it would make sense, it still wouldn't if you were going straight by the lore.
