Can lord of The Ring be played as LOTRO Good guys against NPCs? Or do I have to fight only other players in player versus player action? I hope that non player characters are in the option as well. I dont like to fight against other players, that is just too intense for me and I dont like it.

If you dont have to, you will not have to play other players. Of course it is possible to fight against non player characters and that is more casual style of play. Just the way you like it. I like it also, because it is less intense as you said it nicely. There is a huge variety of non player characters so you will not feel bored and have that awful sense of repeating yourself in different fights. I enjoy this game and I am sure you will find it at least as exciting as I am.
