I know this is a real newbie question but I have to ask it. I've just started playing but I haven't even read about the monetary system in the game. I'm only getting copper and some silver and I've heard that horses cost 4 gold or something. How much silver or copper equals one gold?

Since you've just started playing I think it's a bit too early for you to consider buying a horse. Anyway, the monetary system is as follows: 1 gold 1000 silver, 1 silver 100 copper. At first it will seem to you that you'll never have enough money, but when you buy all the items and skills you want you'll soon have plenty of money and won't know what to do with it.
