|
|
|
Alright, so I was stupid and while replacing my power supply today, I scratched the surface of my brand new 19" LCD monitor.
No pixels were damaged, but the screen is definitely scratched.
I was checking around and found this product:
http://www.gsm-support.net/shop/product.php/213///en/index.html
Think that might work to help it?
Anyone have any experience with repairing these things? The scratch is fairly deep in one place, but not so deep most of the time, looks like a hair on the screen mainly. I could probably learn to live with it, but it is annoying and I would like to fix it if possible.

I seriously doubt that will help at all. It's basically just a wax that fills in the scratch to make it less noticable. We use something like it at work to fill in minor scratches that get on the Melamine surfaces of our furniture. It's only to hide it... if it's in your field of vision it's not going to help at all.

If its brand new and you ordered it online then say you recieved it that way and you want it replaced/fixed. If you bought it at a store or somethin where they saw it before you bought it then yeah, check if its got a warranty or something. If it's a deep scratch nothing is gonna make it "invisible"

Just send it back saying it was damaged in shipping or whatever.

tell them you were trying to send it through a wormhole and something attacked it through interplanetary travel, and caused the scratch.
they will surely replace it free of cost.
In fact they will give you your money back too.
The will also send a w***e and two bags of weed.

If all else fails buy a new one exactly like it with a good warranty and send them back the scratched one.
