I don't think the 80 dollar upsell on the one model is worth it compared to the cheaper one. Its a viewsonic so you know you're getting quality either way =) Most of the specs are exactly the same minus response time and in fact the cheaper model has a higher brightness (measured in candles iirc) anyways so thats a positive for you. I'd google this sumbitch though just to make sure it got decent reviews.. c|net and other sites usually review top notch gear like this.

Some do suck big time, but there's lcds out there that are decent, using a
15 inch one right now and quite happy with it.
I do agree on the resolutions sucking, you'd think they should be able to make the resolutions better with LCDs.

I like the narrow frame of the expensive one, but for $80 it may not be worth the look.
