Was anyone else having a horrible time with the chat system last night? I don't know if I'm just retarded, or if lag was killing everything, or if it's incredibly buggy.
Here's the problems I was having:
- the obvious: it only takes about 20 characters per line, and won't wrap, just truncates it
- when you hit enter on a line in a chat window (the /pm kind, not the main chat window) it sends your text, but only deletes the line you typed about half the time. So you have to keep hitting enter and resending the line 2-3 times until it deletes it, or backspace to the beginning of the line (very slowly, like 1 char/sec) or else you can't type anything else
- when I run while talking, my forward movement keys 'w' start going into the chat window. If I'm autorunning with a chat window open, I can't stop because the 's' goes into the chat window. Even if I click on the ground or the sky or something to unhilight the chat window, chars keep going into it.
- Sometime the chat window loses focus in the middle of typing a sentence, and suddenly all my characters will start being applied as if they're command characters, and random windows will start opening and closeing.
- sometime the chat window loses focus when i hit enter, sometimes it doesnt'. If it does, sometimes hitting enter again will make it ready to take a new line of text, sometimes hitting enter will cycle to another chat window, sometimes hitting enter again will do nothing no matter how many times I hit it. Seems random.
- clicking on the little yellow square in the chat window sometimes selects it, sometimes doesn't
The worst thing which was maybe lag last night but I don't really see how, was that it seemed to miss fast key presses. Like I had to hold every key down for a half a second or so, or else it wouldnt' see that I'd pressed it.
Am I the only with these problems?

Yah I decided to go back to rogue cause I liked the run buff, andi think archery will do pretty well in PvP for takin out mages who arent lookin and blasteing other ppl  But yeah, i think i got in to 11 or 12 or last night, im hoping to get to 25-30ish today since i got off work name is HikoSeijuro
So my chars are
Mage - Xvow
Warrior - ParisHilton
Rogue - HikoSeijuro

Has anyone else read about this upcomming event ? Where we have to escort some lvl 55 warrior, and then try to defend him from the other nation? It saidthe reward is 300k gold to lvl 30+ so im guessing, everyone on that nation thats lvl 30+ gets 300k or what ? Can someone clear that up a lil ? lol, not like any of my characters are 30+ anyways....also wonderin if its happenin on the new server too, or just the 2 orginal ones?

What kind of mage, Mogling?
I wonder if you can duel in this game? I think you can, but I'm not sure how. I'd like to try casting some spells on each other to see what they do - the descriptions are pretty obscure, not to mention flat out wrong.

The run buff pwns too. Saved my butt a few times, not that death really matters in this game
Is hiding like in DAoC? Hopefully rogues won't be as painfully overpowered as they were in that.

Where'd you go last night btw Aeain? All of a sudden you just disappeared. Although I was sort of preoccupied fighting the lag.
And GC, heh, I'm not sure I could go back to DAoC. I find it really hard to go back to games after I stop playing them. I probably wouldn't even recognize it anymore.

Just got 21 on my rogue on new server...got 2 peices of Silan armor and thats all im doing, camping those fekkin silan bones are a pain in the ass...ill just wait till i can farm cash and buy armor instead of questing it!!!...oh and aein, were all humans on the new server dude

Well I havent even grouped with anyone yet on new server, i think like levels 1-30 is pretty much do whatever, once were all in low 30s high 20s is when will prob all end up groupin togather cause i hear it gets pretty slow around there...or atleast slow compared to the early lvls

Yeah DAoC is totally different than before. Even though I don't know when you played, I can asure you it is much different. 8o) ToA made the game a b***h to start playing again though.
I remade on the new server, a rogue. I made an assasian rogue becasue they are insane dmg dealers. Im hitting for 180 at 14.

Seems like everyones still playin servers 1/2 characters....Just wonderin if you guys are mainly playin those server and the new serv is just like an alt characters or, if new server are the mains or what ? my 21 rogue on new server is my main, HikoSeijuro so ill be on him prob 90% of the time but, if everyone is still playing there first characters on the original servers ill just play there, whereever the majority of the people are playing at....

I'm using the new server as my main. Now that we're mostly in our 20s we should be able to group a bit more. There's not much point before 20 because you can just hack and slash and do fine, but after that you need a decent group. I'd like to hit goblins and get some armor. I've got two pieces of Silan now, but that's all the patience I have for the newbie zone. Plus goblin I guess has better stats.
Although we didn't have much luck tonight. First time we met up it lagged out, then the second time as soon as we got a group together they took the server down
btw any rogues want +4 bows with 32 lighting damage? I have 2, once is huntsman one something else, both have same stats though.

Sin, and anyone else. If you get swords with low STR requirements, please, o please save them for me. I will buy them from you. They are rare which is why no one makes Assasian speced rogues. But fact is, they hit twice if not more, as hard as fire mages.

Oh...you said swords lmao, i thought you meant like, "Rare Item" swords that just had like a signifigent decrease in str requirment that a rogue could use ..... *newb* lol

Hah your not a newb, I just wasn't specific enough.
Don't save them unless they have like 20-40+ elemental dmg on them.

I just picked up a two handed axe on the new server. Its 25ish dmg and 30 or so fire dmg. Where does this rate for weapons? Is this something that should last me or will I need upgrades soon? (I am level 12)

It's decent, but + 40 elemental dmg or more are usualy some of the best.

Has anyone figured out how to get to the goblins in Elmorad yet? The quest says they're at something like 1800,700. The map on the site shows them at the top right (northeast) corner of the map. But I've tried a few times and I can't find them. You can gate into the Kalluga Valley gate, or run there, and it seems quite close. If I go as far NE as I can I get to a little tower with some Hellhounds (high level dogs) and a "watcher" who gives the second quest key (like the one just outside Pianna who gives you the first key apparently), wtf that is. But it won't let you go any farther NE. I've gone pretty far south along the eastern edge of the map and haven't found away to sneak around the corner and come back up or something.
It's tricky because it's too hard to do at night, and I swear it seems to be night whenever I'm playing. Come to think of it they should call it Night-Online 
Also I was hit by the login bug this morning when I tried to gate, so not sure if I can get in now or not.

The login bug is probably not a bug but their login servers being gay.
Yeah ill search for em, and if I find em ill let you know. I really need to get back to daoc or I am going to fall behind. But I will probably be on today a bit and ill check it out.

I have three questions:
1) Whats the return for doing Silan Bone Quest with Isaac? Or should I just turn em in for Silan armor?
2) How does using two weapons work? I don't see a change in attack when I add an extra weapon.
3) I had an issue where I died but I wasn't resurrected. I just got to look at my corpse. Had no clue what to do. I exited and came back but was still like that. Anyone know what the problem is?
