I didn't pay much attention to his rambling, but when he talked about increasing the size of the military I could swear he said 'to conduct more terrorism op... *interrupted by applause* 'to conduct more anti-terrorism operations'
Did I just not hear the first 'anti' or did he really say that? I don't trust transcrips, so I thought I'd check here - maybe someone else noticed it or recorded it.

I don't recall - for me it was very difficult to stay focussed on what he is saying, his style and delivery are so stiff and awkward (this guy makes Al Gore looked totally easy going).
Given the traditional liberal stance the US and US military are the "real terrorists" and his testimony to congress post Vietnam that he had personally committed and witnessed "atrocities" committed by US forces (which he later said, uh well I didn't personally witness them, but I heard about some stuff!) it wouldn't be a surprising fruedian slip

Pankrat,
I don't think John Kerry is a cocaine addict that loves his mother though.

He's still trying to look less liberal:

| Quote: | | He also borrowed Republican language when he turned directly to the war on terror and in Iraq. “We are a nation at war,” he said. “I will wage this war with the lessons I learned in war…I will never hesitate to use force when it is required.” Like his running mate, John Edwards, the night before, he spoke directly to the terrorists, echoing a tactic of George Bush’s: “You will lose, and we will win. The future does not belong to fear; it belongs to freedom.” More concretely, he said he would double the size of America’s special forces and add 40,000 regular troops. |

Everybody does. Clinton and Gore had just as many snafus. They only happened to have a liberal media on their side.

He actually did say it. He had a few blunders, like HAIR polution in harlem .
It was just a minor slip that sounded funny, was in a large room of people watching it and everyone heard it and laughed. He was talking about increasing the size of spec-forces to conduct terroism.. anti-terroism operations.
Overall, however, it was one of his better executed speaches, which doesn't necessarily mean much. He's no speaker.
