Did anybody else see it?

Their expressions were priceless. I bet they expected to be welcomed with adoring cheers after reading all the latest polls about their father having a big lead in Florida.

Meanwhile, the Bush girls were on via satellite from NY...they got a much better reception...at least no boos that I could hear.

THE BOOS THAT ROCKED THE VOTE: KERRY DAUGHTERS RECEIVE RUDE AWAKENING AT MTV AWARDS
Sun Aug 29 2004 23:36:31 ET

MTV, ROLLING STONE and the rock and roll establishment -- past and present -- have cast their vote, and their man is John Kerry.

So on Sunday night when John Kerry's daughters were announced to speak at the annual MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS, the MTV youth were expected to welcome his daughter's as pop culture princesses.

Instead, in an era of the unexpected, the daughters of the Democratic candidate were met with a resounding wall of boos at the filming in Miami.

From the moment Alexandra and Vanessa started speaking, the boos outweighed anything close to cheers, and the reaction turned worse when the daughters asked the VIACOM youth to vote for their father. So shocked by the reaction, the taller of the two daughters tried to 'shhhhhh' her peers to no avail.

ET Aug. 29, 2004NEW YORK - Bearing flag-draped boxes resembling coffins and fly-swatters with President Bush’s image, more than 100,000 protesters peacefully swarmed Manhattan’s streets on the eve of the Republican National Convention to demand that the president be turned out of office.

Flanked by police in riot gear, the protesters moved through the fortified city, loudly and exuberantly chanting slogans such as “No more years.” They accused the White House of waging an unjust war in Iraq, making the country poorer and undermining abortion rights

Blame it on Katherine Harris!

Immediate calls for a recount emerged from the Kerry camp. 'They must have thought they were the Bush twins!' Lawyers have been called in to overturn the results and ABC'S NIGHTLINE is on the verge of doing wall to wall town hall meetings to try to talk America's youth back to their senses.

Calls to Kerry spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter, REM's Michael Stipe, Moby and MTV's Judy McGrath asking for an explanation were all left unreturned.

Because Kerry/Dems have been hard at work on turning the MTV generation into a mass blob that votes DemocRAT.

mtv is progressive, I still don't understand the rational behind the booing. Kerry won the you decide vote and some dipshits decided it would be clever to boo at his children? How marvelous and totally fitting.

Entertainment and Politics are quite the annoying combination. These f***s need to learn we aren't paying to hear/see them for their opinion, rather we do it for the entertainment of the music/performance. I don't force my politics on customers that call me for tech support, so why do they get to force their politics on me, a customer.
