wait for pain meds to wear off and the swelling and ugh of it all to set in lol i was great until about 6 hours later then i popped a stitch and things just got ugly from there.

hehe i got dry socket too a couple days after i ws in some serious freakin pain (like ya wouldnt beleive). and yes nah it does exist and it freaking HURTS!
they cut the back gums open and dig in there suction it out dig some more scrap the freaking bone and even when 'numbed' you feel it from chin to ear and ong the pain /shudder. makes my left eye tear up just thinking back and it was years ago.
glad youre ok though xarp, take a pretty little pain pill and go lay down and get some rest and hopefully youll sleep through the numbing wearing of initial pain set in time.
ohh and lay a folded dark towel on your pillow just in case.

yup they figure that is how i got it.
i still smoked and rather alot and couldnt hold out more then a couple hours after to have my first one then i pretty much just smoked as normal between sleeping sprees (tylenol with codeine knocks me out).
when i popped the stitch and it was bleeding like mad and i was smoking they figured that is probly the combo that did it, cause the clot kept dislodging and the smoke got in there and the sucking.. and well ya.. it hurt LOTS.
and wtf luturb? ive never been a guy. born a woman always have been always will be gave birth to two children, one naturally one c section. the plumbings all still there but the tubes are tied.. baby factory shut down, yet still all woman 100%.

Well, for some reason none of my stitches have held. Every single one of the holes is open, and I've been doing nothing but spoon eating 1/2 spoons of soup as far as food goes, then squirting water into my mouth to drink. Oh well... Here's hoping it doesn't bother me tomorow.

that sucks much xarp, be careful and if you have excessive amounts of pain tomorrow an/or they wont reclot up call the dentist and ask him if he thinks you should come in for restitching as a preventative measure, so no dry socket /cringe

After all is said and done, I've got no pain at all. Havn't had a single pang of sharp pain. There was a dull ache the day of the operation though, but that's gone. I'm not even taking the pain meds they gave me, 'cause I just don't need them.
This has got to be an example of the concious being greater than the body or something, 'cause I went the whole way saying how it wasn't going to hurt and I'd be fine. sure enough....
God, this was easy. I've been eating solid foods every night also. My dad took me to Hooters the night of the operation, and even that wasn't hard. I just ate slow on account that I was chewing with my front teeth, and mashing shit w/ my tongue. Oh well, it hasn't affected me in a bad way at all. Now the fun wait for these 4 enormous holes to close up.
