I've been out of the loop for a while, but I've read about what happened to SWG, SOE, and the players it's a damn shame, if you ask me, that a MMO game with such a powerful franchise behind it would end up like this. Is there any hope of seeing a new SW-themed MMO RPG in the market any time soon?

Soon? No, not much chance of that. The problem is licensing, and SOE still holds *some* form of rights to SW online game distribution, so no SW MMO will be published until they're finished with SWG at least.

I know, its very sad what has happened to this game. Played it for 2 years solid from release then off and on since then, just can't get back into the game from what it used to be
