i love verizon ... support is leaps and bounds better than cingular's support, i get faster internet connectivity and better coverage at home.
my parents and brothers have cingular. my mom had a problem with her phone the other night (siemens sx66 pda) and i called tech support for her, and i waite on hold for over an hour before i just hung up. i called again the next morning and got through, but it took me 15 minutes still. The only complaint i have with Verizon support is that they make me go into the store and wait in line for a tech if i have a problem and need a replacement phone- they won't let you just do it over the phone.
in our condo, all of my family gets poor reception (bounces from no signal to low signal) and my verizon has a full signal.
i just havn't had great luck with cingular in the greater miami area and the verizon data speeds are just too great for me to pass up.

verizon is using cdma and probably has 850 overlay. 850 is a f**k load better at penetrating buildings than 1900.
its all personal pref. when i was att wireless i'd sit on hold for 2 hours during rush hour. with cingular i find less than 5 minutes to be the average.
the sx66 is a pos though
