Well, you're right as well Haroun, I don't claim to be an expert on history although I suppose I should check stuff before I post it hehe. However Israel isn't 100% in the right, neither are the Palestinians. Not that my opinion matters, but I think that when Rabin was assassinated and succeeded by hard liners who would not push through with his initiatives that they lost a lot of moral highground.

FYI, I totally agree with you on this point. I think the continuation of construction of Israeli settlements in the territories is INCREDIBLY stupid, and wrong. I think the punishment of the families of terrorist assasins is not such a good idea, either, as it creates more martyrs and possibly harms innocents.

This is a destinct possibility, but its a tough call. It is entirely possible that had Rabin lived, things would have still turned out this way due to the continued desire on the part of Hamas, etc. to see NO PEACE. If Hamas had continued its reign of terror, even Rabin would have ultimately had no choice.
Still, I too, like most of Israel, wish he had lived. And to think that he was killed by an Israeli. Stupid f**k.
