I need to know if trading is viable in Eve Online. It is very important fact to me, and I suppose, to many more players. I want to play this game as trader, so I want to research several key facts for this class. I love this game so much that I will play it for a long time. Trader class was first pick for, but it could be changed if I do not like it very much.

Trading in Eve Online is not viable. There are no alternatives to this, so many frigate pilots are entering in courier missions. This is the only recourse for making money from simple travel time. I think that it is not good idea from the developers, and I think that they did a wrong move, not to make trading viable. Eve Online is superb game, many things from the game is fantastic so this little fact is not making the game too bad to play. You just must find other ways to make a living.

Trade is extremely viable, it depends on what and who you want to trade with.
Trading NPC goods with a freighter can net you several billion isk a month. Also shipping mods and other items into low sec and selling for much higher prices there can make you a bunch as well.
If you are just starting and don't have a bunch of isk to start, you will have to settle for buying and selling less stuff and making less. But if you stick with it, you can turn billions of isk in a week. I know people right now who have several different NPC trade goods in several regions that they sell daily. You just have to know what you are doing to make isk.
Watch the markets, following certain goods, travel to different regions to see what those same goods are doing there and then be prepared to move stuff around to get paid.

Many people make billions out of trading. NPC trade routes exist but the real cash is in trading in the player market and moving things around.

That is true, more or less now. Back when I started doing NPC trade routes, the market would reset every downtime. That meant that when you logged on you could buy at the lowest price and sell at the highest. Once I got established I could make more than 10 billion a month. I needed to have two characters with freighters to keep up with the amount I was selling. Another cool thing was that if the server went down, when it came back up the markets would reset again. There were several times I made over 1 billion isk in one days trading.
Then CCP got smart and made it so the server would not do that anymore, at the end of my trade I would make 1-3 billion a month, still not bad, but a hard pill to swallow after making a lot more than that.
As far as moving PC good around, that can make isk too, especially if you can get into remote regions where they don't have much stuff. I did a bit of that but you have to watch what you charge. People are willing to pay higher prices for stuff out there but they are not willing to get raped. You have to find a good price point that keeps people happy or you will all of a sudden have several people competing with you to trade.
