You know what I'm talking, the 1 Ring? I don't mean it should be like an item you can buy at a store or something, I mean like an artifact that you would have to help someone have destroyed, you know? Like, if you did some side-quests to help the Fellowship to be on its way, that'd be so cool

No. They specifically stated that there will be little to none interaction between the game world and the "canon world" of the books and movies. Not counting the smaller cameos and stuff like that. Including an object of such cardinal importance would go against those design choices, don't you think?
