Question that has been bothering me for some time now is: Is the Lineage 2 free? I have a friend who seems to be playing this game fro free and quite for some time now. But, on the other hand, I was surfing on the web and found articles on Lineage 2 that state this game is not for free. What is true of these two?

Both are true, my dear. Lineage 2 is a game that you might have a free trial, but you will not get it for free from the official server. Here we come to a critical point and the one that explains why your friend can play Lineage 2 for free for a long period of time. I think a couple of months ago some private servers appeared when official server leaked. People are now playing with these private servers and that is what is for free, but I dont know what the quality of this game is. Maybe you can ask your friend because he/she would know these things the best.
