Is it worth starting Final Fantasy? There have been some problems with this game back in the past and I know one guy that stopped playing it because the dial up connection was terrible. I want to try out this game, but I am afraid that there might be problems that are just too big to get over.

Final Fantasy and dial up connection are never the wining combination. I think this goes for every online game there is. I think that the dial up connection has many disadvantages and if you are able to surpassed it that that would be the best possible way of handling stuff. Except for that there is nothing wrong with this game. It is as good and as bad as any other if you are not looking on this question using pink glasses. This is game like any other and I don't see why you should not try to play Final fantasy XI.
