I am really paranoid to sell my WoW gold over paypal, but this guy says he will open a dispute and close it after he sends me the money. Does that make it safe on my end?
Thanks in advance

It be honest nothing is safe on paypal. If you want to make sure he wont scam you, just tell him, "I am sending this money from a 3rd party account and the money was never on my main account, so if you attempt to scam me I will just file a complaint to Blizzard telling them that you bought the gold." Don't know if that would work because it is just a bluff but they would ban his account if you didn't send in a petition like that, but they will kinda ban your's as well. So just hope he doesn't call your bluff lol.

Paypal is only as safe as the person reciving the money
If you seem to be acting fishy the seller may be cautious and act the same
If you are not a scammer and he is willing to go first there is absolutly nothing wrong with paypal

Selling - Western Union
Buying - Paypal
If i could slap every honest trader who still uses paypal for trading i would. It has been said countless times that Paypal is not safe for honest traders selling due to the buyer filing unauthorised transactions. We have made it as clear as possible on how to trade safely, and the majority just dont care about safety.
When premium service is opened to members, our focus will be on supporting those members and directing new content to them, regular members will eventually be left to fend for themselves over time among the scammers.

Paypal is pretty easy to reverse a payment, they also offer almost no protection for people selling virtual goods.

Actually, there's a couple safe ways. If the person that buys from you is verified it makes it much harder for them to get their money back. I know because I sold an account to a guy and he tried to take his money back. 4 days later Paypal had closed the dispute and sided with me because he was verified. I had told them it was a gaming account and it was delivered via messenger.

Simply talking to the person you're trading with by phone is probably a safe bet as well. Narrows down the scammers.

NEVER cancel a dispute, it means if they scam you, you can't do a thing about it.

That is the least safest way to do it as you cant open any more disputes against that trade.

Ive found when someone tries to reverse charges with a dispute you can usually win by reporting them and/or threatening to their "local authorities". What your effectively talking about is CC/bank fraud.
Make sure their "verified" and you have some real evidence that you gave them said account or item.
I mean we live in a police state and no one wants to get caught up in the "system". Lawyer alone would cost them 2-4000$.
Most paypal scammers think your too "lazy" to fight back.
I will say paypal needs to adjust their virtual goods policy's.
