Lineage II sounds like a great game for me, as far as I was able to read about in the web, but I need one more info that I wasnt able to find out in the open, so I decided to ask people who are the most qualified to give me the answer I am looking for. Is it possible to play Lineage 2 solo?

Let me keep the answer clear and simple, yes. It is possible to play Lineage II solo and I prefer to play it like that. There is no problem to switch between solo and player versus player mode, but you can always go back to the mode you prefer. I think that solo gives you a better chance to get to know the game and at list in the beginning every new player should spend a couple of weeks playing it solo. I would also recommend to get to know the game a bit before you start playing it, but already said you did it. It will make your first steps a whole lot easier.

Well playing solo is possible at the 50 first lvls but after you´ll really need a group or a clan to help you to lvl.
It´s really hard to play solo if you don´t have a prophet or Healer depending on your class to support you.
After for this is fun to participate in PvP and sieges and for that you´ll need a clan.

it is possible to solo, but slower. If you join a good clan which owns a clan house, then soloing gets easier because you can have free buffs from the clan house and instant teleportation to the hunting ground.
You really need a good clan to enjoy this game, if you join a good clan, you can join to more Raid Boss group(which need 10-20 ppl) that will give you a lot better drops than soloing.

haha, pretty weird question, imo MMO's are about playing together and have fun, because grinding on L2 is a must, and solo its pretty boring...
but best is to make an archer and find a buffer, duo is best
further questions? just pm plx ^^

You can play solo, but lineage II is a so hard game, corean mmo, so, as long as you'll play the game, u'll get bored if you play solo. That's my opinion

Depends, really. Soloing with shots, buff scrolls, top gear etc. can match any decent group speed...just a lot more expensive.

Soloing depends on what class u have.
If u have dark avenger, archer, dagger or mage like sh , necro , sps u can solo but it will be difficult to lvl. U will need many hours for that, but if u have 1 account more u can make a pro or a shillien elder and have it with u or ask from a friend to buff u while u r going for solo.
Now if u have a support class like prophet, elven elder, shillien elder with a light gear and some duals u can solo but it will be slow lvling too.
Now if u have a support class wc, bd or sws those r good party toons but also can solo with their own buffs.
If u don't want to box i recommend u to lvl everywhere even without buffs on lower lvl mobs and find some ppl also with u to party depending on what class u have chosen.
best duo parties are : archers+ prophet,wc
daggers(plainswalker,treasure hunters..)+shillien elder,wc
mages+ prophet, shillien elder or ee
sws,bd's+tanks shillien elder ,wc

Well, if your a Spellhowler like I was , it is very possible to solo till 75+ ....
Also, most people who solo have a tendency to "2box". ...
exemple : Spellhowler + SE , Prophet + Silver ranger , WC + Dagger..

Soloing's probably the best way to go with most classes up until around level 60, although after that parties start to give better exp - having said that, it's still possible to solo and get respectable exp.
