Just curious.
Eating other animals is legal, so like, if I bought and raised a puppy with the intent of eating it, could I?

Sounds legal as long as you weren't selling it to like, I dunno, a restaurant.
Whats to stop you from raising a puppy and deciding at 6 months...f**k this, I bet he'd taste gooood!
Ask your local chinese restaurant for recipes.

I did a quick search and came across a Salon article that mentioned in passing that dog meat is legal in 44 states. They didn't say what "legal" meant exactly: butchering, possessing or selling.
I also found out that Koreans think that the more painful the dog's death is, the better the meat will be, so they torture the dogs to death over a long period of time. That kind of grossed me out.

You could eat it if it was road kill. Technically you cannot kill a dog just for the purpose of eating it. At least in NYS. Now, if ya got locked in the basement with fido by accident, for months, I don't think they would charge you for killing and eating him. Besides, you could always maintain it turned on you, and you killed it in self defense. Yeah, thats what I would tell them, just to play it safe. Bust the place up like it was a crazy battle for survival, you'd be sure to make Ophra. Its not like you would have to worry about a witness or anything, ha, you ate the only witness:)

You use to be able to go to the butcher and get duck blood. For soup. Its called Strybl in Polish. Butchers wont do it anymore. Its illegal.

Most butchers won't dress out a deer for you anymore either. You have to find one that does it on the sly, in the back room.

Dog tastes pretty good actually. Ate it a few times in hong kong and philippines. Tastes a little richer than beef, but not gamey, like deer.

Not really. Im just informed. This was major news 12-14 months ago when the laws changed. I also know alot about the relationship between Kim Jong Il and Wen Jiabao. But those names probably dont mean anything to you since you apperantly know nothing of world events.
