When I started WoW I was having an incredible amount of fun competing with Everquest around the release of Velious. Now I find myself not playing for a week and having no motivation to play. It got boring that fast?

Anyone else just sick of it?

I'm sick of the 4000ms pings I get around the clock, which makes the game unplayable.

Here are the thoughts I had about WoW:

2004:
May: omfg omfg omfg i hope i get in
June: omfg omfg omfg i got in
June: omfg omfg omfg i love this game
August: omfg omfg omfg they ended it NOOOO
Nov: omfg omfg omfg my gf bought me WoW omfg
Dec: omfg i love playin w/ Minion omfg i wish Spink was on our server
Dec: Okay Minion, I'll restart as alliance on Spink's server!
Jan: Minion quits
Jan: Spink quits
Jan: Gethy quits
Jan: Tizitchy spams me with item links
Feb: omfg we'll start porkchop express!!
Feb: Khrath quits
Feb: Paco is afflicted with "Alt-Making Fever"
Feb: My alliance druid sits at the Southern Barrens area entering Stonetalon and waits for mid-teens Horde players to cross and immediately become pvp-enabled. He kills them many times and I laugh and giggle and take screenshots. Later, I engage in the **** act with a consenting female of legal age in my current US state of residency.
Mar: Pretty much everyone I wanted to play games with isn't playing, I might as well stop.
Mar: Oh wait let's cheat - this should be fun for a while!
Mar: Banned!

I'm not bored with the game, just bored with the people I've met in it. I could switch servers and join a guild of 5 or 6 of my coworkers, but that would be $66.

I didn't play for like 2-3 weeks, but now I'm trying to give up the wanting to be l33t so that I can try to enjoy the game. It's going pretty good so far too: I went from 28-30.5 on Callaren without losing my x2 exp, and I was able to solo Rhank'Zor (Ned's cuttter thing ripped me open Mad ). I think I'll go back to playing the alts to get that bonus back to keep it fun. I'm sorry, 'fun'.

If you play by yourself you might as well play with yourself.

The way I see it:

lvl 1-60 is just a tutorial on how to play what you want to play for the up coming war.

I for one am glad I don't have the same type of addiction for WoW. I'd like to maintain my real life this time around.

Personally, Im not bored with WoW. I still enjoy it. But i have so much going on that i refused to acknowledge while playing EQ. Lets say i realized my mistake by not paying attention to my RL and ive fixed it. Besides, why play if a game isnt fun? kind of defeats the purpose of playing a game.

WoW is a fun game but it is strickly a one or two months affair. No compelling reason to stick around playing it after you get lv60, unless playing an alt from the opposing side maybe. No real community, no serious end game, no longevity.

In EQ they solved that problem by adding AA's. /nod

PvP is the answer. I don't know why they made PvE servers.

So p*****s who couldn't handle the idea of actually competing with people for resources / safety could solo in peace all the way to 60 then whine that they wanted a server move option so they could go partake in the PvP they wanted to be part of all the time anyway yet didn't have the balls to actually join because they're pampered little c***s sucking on the "end game" loot cycle memories of EQ.

Yea until you get tired of killing the same people over and over again due to there being no penalty for getting killed in PvP. Right now PvP is a joke in this game and will be until Battlegrounds come out...

I agree that incentive to kill them is definitely missing for most people. However, I enjoy griefing low level players, so...

Before I quit EQ, I started a bard and forced him to stay in the old world, using equipment he earned from quests and monster kills. It was fun until I realized that nobody else cared and all of the zones were empty.

If they made a "vintage" server, in which they released the expansions in a set order after a set time, it would have quite a few players, I'm sure, and all of these zones would be full again. People say it wouldn't work, but would it really be that hard to find out?
