Do you think this one might be "the" one? Judging from the readers' comments of preview articles, and general forum activity (not just here, but on various message boards), this game is generating immense interest. Do you think this will translate into an immense number of subscriptions, once it hits the stores? WoW-like numbers, maybe?

May be, but it's not bloody likely. Don't get me wrong, I don't think WoW is "just too good to beat" as the good folks at GivenBeat put it, it's just that the market is now way too satiated for fantasy MMOs to make any big splashes, no matter how well marketd turn out to be.
