As the title says, if I have an to sell an old account, could I still find a buyer? It seems EQ has been losing a lot of people.
Would selling still be possible though I don't have any time left on the account, my char is only in the late 30's, and has been basically stripped of equipment? It seems most of the demand is for later lvl toons with good equipment and plat (both which I had but no longer have).

I think it is funny i know a ton of people that still play eq and the game is almost exactly the same as wow and eq2 now. I have 4 eq accounts for sale if anyone wants to buy em cheap

Lost of people still play EQ today, so I'm sure you'll be able to sell your account if you wanted. You can sell them to your friends or people you know from the game, maybe. Some people like having more than 1 account. There are also websites out there that buy accounts. Just google "sell accounts" or something.
