Well, is it? I can't find any mention of a mature rating (or any other, that is) anywhere, which is honestly kind of surprising. I haven't actually played, but judging from what I heard about it, the kind of people that hang out there and the things they take part in, I'm surprised that they'll let anyone play that game.

Heh. Well, even though I'm quite interested in hearing what exactly you have been told about these horrible, horrible goings-on in SL, I think I'll pass anyway. I can only advise you not to take these rumors too seriously, and check out SL for yourself before passing judgment.
FWIW, there's no R rating or anything like that, but there are different versions for teens, adults, etc.
