The long expected game Pirates of the Burning Sea is finally in its closed beta testing stage, and I hope to be added to the gamers' base next week. Is it going to be a free game or will we have to pay a monthly fee? Ive read somewhere that there will be a certain possibility to make a subscription for this and several other games for one price.

Yeah! Finally that day has come. Im also hoping that they will add me within the next two weeks. The game will not be free, thats for sure, I just dont know whether they will allow a trial period and how long it will last. Now it crossed my mind that I heard about something called Station Access Pass. As far as I understand, it is going to be a kind of subscription were you pay for the whole package of games from the same publisher and its more economical than to pay subscription for each of them respectively. Ive already decided to subscribe for the pass, because I think its a good bargain.

Beta is free, there will be a fee for the live version - probably right up there with the likes of WoW and LotR. They spent 5 years on the game - they need to recoup their investment.

well after playing this for about 2 hours I'm sorry to say i don't like it. the only way to lvl up is to do stupid quests, the skills you can learn suck and not to mention the battle system also sucks. wasted $50 downloading this from directtodrive

I played Beta for...3 hours and thats all it took for me to see how poorly constructed this game is.
The sea battles in POTC are far superior to this glob of eye candy
