Player versus player kind of online games players is not my cup of tea. I don’t like player versus player and I like to avoid it as much as I can so I am interested in this possibility in the game called Age of Conan. Is PVP optional in Age of Conan? I hope that I will be able to play player versus environment of some kind.

There is a possibility for you to skip player versus player type of playing and this is all that you need to know. There is not one game that will make you play PvP at any level, so this is not the case with Age of Conan. If you don’t want to play this kind of play, then you can choose something else and choose something else. This is not something that you should be concerned with. SO don’t worry about anything any more, but you should be thinking about trying this PvP just a little bit and you will see what I am talking about.

AoC is a game where you have to fight to survive, with the ability to enter combat with everyone, PvP is a must for this game.

PVP is optional if you go on a PVE server, but on a PVP server you can attack/be attacked anywhere that's not in the 3 major cities.

Yeah PvP is optional unless you specifically pick a PVP server. I recommend doing so though to keep things from getting stale.

As above there is pve, but really because you can get to cap so fast, pp is the only way that provides some difficulty and little more entertainment than the pointless pve grind.

I'll state my experiences leveling to 80 and being 80 on a PvP server. You will be killed, ganked, zerg-ganked, etc. But you will also kill, gank, and zerg-gank others. So choose your poison. From what I understand, the soon-to-be-implemented PvP system will limit ganking and mass-ganking. I don't know how PvP works on a PvE server.
