Hello! I have noticed that final fantasy XI population is declining lately. However I don’t know if this is really true, so if there is some official information about how many subscribers there are, please post link. I think people are leaving the game, but I don’t know what could be causing this.

There is no one MMORPG game that has constant population. Same situation is with Final Fantasy XI, it’s been abot four years since the game is out, so it is normal for people to seek for an another MMORPG if they don’t like this. There are up-to-date stats about games’ population at mmochart.com. Try finding your answer there.

It's pretty populated taking into account how old it is - mainly I should think, because of it's continued support across multiple platforms.

They also just came out with a new expansion didn't they? I remember when I used to play, it was VERY time consuming getting through all the expansions, then getting banned because the credit card on my account was used by a game hacker -_-

There is a new expansion coming out in November, and yes the expansions are time consuming. That is one of the things I love most about the game, its endless pretty much.
