Would you guys say that this game is a good choice for the casual player? I ask because I don't want to commit time or resources to something that will end up asking for 90 of my free time of which I don't have much to offer, and neither would I wish to waste it like that. TIA.

Absolutely. The one thing that DDO achieves so well is catering to both the power gamer and the casual gamer types at the same time. This is quite an achievement, because if you look at other games, they strongly favor one over the other (and it's usually the former, of course).
