I want to know is Age of Conan really that great. I have heard many stories about this game. I cannot believe that any game can have so much fans and that it is so good. I have played several MMOs before, so I know what to do in this game. Of course, I need to figure out should I play AoC, and should I spend my free time. What do you people think about this little game?

What little game are you speaking of? Age of Conan is the best game you will ever play. There is no better one on the market and it is indeed that great as everybody it telling you. Many critics are just enjoying in telling everyone how good this game really is. You should definitely start playing it, because you are now missing on some great adventures. There is no other MMO game that can come even close to AoC. I cannot figure out where to start when I think how awesome this game is. If you have some basic experience with this kind of games, then you should try your luck and skills with this title. You will never make the mistake if you play it.

I've heard AOC has just been total garbage from relief. My step brother had even sent me a link of a screen shot. Where they were asking a clan/guild to stop ganking people in groups of 5?
I mean if it's a PvP server, and PvP is part of the game? Then why the hell would you tell people to only gank with a certain amount of people.
And it does suck.

I agree with febreeze, they had an excellent idea for their combat system. Unfortunately it wasn't implemented properly. The game on the whole is pretty broken. I played a Dark Templar and just couldn't take all the bugs. Cancelled my account after the free 30 days. =\ Sadly I had paid for the collector's edition too, so I was out alot more than most people.

Age of Failure is what it really is. I mean if you look at it all it has going for it is its different combat system, which isn't that great, Gore, nudity, and fatalities. They than got afraid about the nudity and poorly pasted shirts on the female models and they didn't even try to make it look right.

If you haven't played AoC, you have no credibility on this issue. I've yet to play a game where it was universally embraced as the savior of MMOs, sorry to say this: THAT GAME WILL NEVER EXIST.
This game has been out for 2 months, you can't expect it to be an immediate hit satisfying everything the gamer population has ever wanted. Yes, there is a lack of end-game content; yes, there are technical issues inherent with a developing MMO; yes, you still get the "zomg pvp on a pvp server?" comments because people get pvp'ed on pvp servers...
I'm willing to bet that most these previous posters haven't leveled past 50 in AoC.
Bottom line: all the pieces are there; this game has a lot of potential.

the first 20 levels are spectaular, the combat systems great fun and innovatitive but the game itself lacks substance. Its gets very samey past level 50 and there is a lack of end game content too. Also all the level 80 (max level) content that funcom promised is bugged and barely works. The majority of the classes are totally unbalanced, and hugely bugged. Very few of the feats (talents) actually work... So all in all it might be a good game in a year or two but right now its a total mess.

Yes, there are dungeons that you can also do by yourself, but I was getting pestered by my friends to buy it. Bearing in mind that they're all obsessed with WoW and believed it would replace it. After the first week of playing, they haven't touched it again. What a total, complete and utter waste. It's a good job I didn't give in to buying it!

I gave up at 55, the game takes an excessive amount of system resources for subpar graphics for one thing and the majority of dungeons from 1-40 were horribly bugged and were a big waste of time. My friends are still playing it but I really didn't see what was so special about it.
