In 2003 there were 598 known murders in Chicago. That works out to 1.64 murders per day. In post-was Iraq there have been an average of 1.18 killings of coalistion forces per day. What are people complaining about, again?

I remember 1992(?) in NYC, over 2000 murders.

there are less people in iraq, than people in chicago. But I see your point, you're probably just as likely to die here as in iraq. Consider all the accidents/possibilities... food poisoning, sars (ok not so outrageous), car accidents, murders/shootings/suicide.

Soldiers are obviously more likely to die in Iraq as the result of terrorst acts per total population. However, Chicago kills more Americans via violence than does Iraq.

However, your first assumption is wrong as evidenced by the fact that Chicago's murder rate makes the news.

No, I'm know that you ramble endlessly about casualities in Iraq, but never mention Chicago. In fact detroit's murder rate of about 0.85/day last year is pretty close to Iraq's. Why don't I ever hear you complaining about that?
