So i am having a lot of problems with my cable internet connection lately (or on and off for the last few years but its worse now! ;p) I will be online and get randomly disconnected sometimes in the space of 5 minutes and sometimes it will work for an hour or 2 before it does it.. unplugging the cable modem and plugging it back it restores my connection.. sometimes it just lags out really bad but doesnt go all the way out too.. i have tested it with different ethernet cables, different pcs, tested my pc at other places (works fine) .. tested it with a router, without a router.. always its the same shit, really p*****g me off now.. its kinda odd because when it disconnects the connected lites on the modem dont go out but theres no connection to my pc =/.. sometimes they do actually go out but thats pretty rare.
The comcast f**s come like every other day to look at it and never do anything, personally i think its the line and told um to replace it but they are cheap jews so they dont seem to wanna do that... anyone know anything else that it could be.. i think i have exhausted almost all other possibilities.. they even replaced the modem once and tried to claim the modem we had before wasnt compliant anymore so it didnt work... but it worked sometimes just like the one we have now so i think he was full of shit =/

I have comcast.
does the same thing
usually when I'm capping out my DL speed
but sometimes, for no reason. a lot of the time around 12:30 at night

ya does it to me constantly even when i am just surfing or playing a game... used to be like what you seem to have but its gotten alot worse recently.

Tell them to replace the drop or midspan to your house.... its either aerial or underground... either or they should be able to do it.
