Thinking about getting a cell phone that I can plug my laptop in to get wireless internet, but the chick at the store said its very slow compared to the more expensive PCMIA cards. Is she full of it and just trying to sell me something more expensive?

prolly not full of shit, i doubt the cell phones are made to handle very high bandwidth.. the oposite prolly, they want those things to use as little as possible... check google tho to be sure.
