Anyone know if it is legal for candidates for the senate and/or presidential race to accept foreign contributions?
I know Swiss companies donated a few millions to Bush, but they might have done it through their US groups.
I've been seeing a lot of Senator McCain lately and agree with what I've heard so far. I guess even if I could donate I'd be limited to $2,000, so I'm not exactly expecting his campaign to jump through hoops to make it possible - but if it is, it'd feel good to support someone with a clue 
edit: bah, can't delete the post - got my answer. Foreign nationals can't donate and a german businessman got a $320,000 fine for doing so
