They didn't find planes at the trade center either, only difference is, we all saw those, so it's hard to stir up conspiracy theories.

Suppose the Pentagon got pre-emptive and shot down a passenger jet when they learned about the towers, then later discovered they shot down a plane with no evidence of terrorist activity other than it was heading in their direction or something. So, they fire off a missle from a carrier or something at themselves, kinda like murdering someone then shooting yourself with a 22 and hobbling into a hospital.
