How the f**k do you guys have such detailed memories on the people you play with and the times you played with them from years and years ago?
Seriously, I can hardly remember anybody I played EQ with outside of the guild I was in, yet you guys are able to remember things like buying a rubicite helm from somebody back in highkeep. How the hell are you guys able to remember that shit?
Do you keep notes?

guess it was just the excitement of the moment, it's just so hard to forget.
since it was most peoples first MMORPG it was the first time being in that experience.
I remember the first time I got a platinum. It was some cloak off a spider in kelethin forest. I freaked.
I could go on and on, certain types of armor, first raids, etc. etc.

/agree. I had some screenshots that made me remember things I would have forgotten. Like:
Mistdancer tells the guild, "DD, buttfor"
Darkdiva tells the guild, "what's a buttfor?"
Mistdancer tells the guild, "POOPING!"

I have no idea. I think I've retained about 25%. Of course, I never kept logs, and I kept very few screenshots.

The average hardcore EQ addict will play the game at a minimum 4 hours a day, often quite more. If you spend 30-40 hours a week doing something for several years and have a brain you are bound to remember quite a lot of it.
Unless you are a complete stoner who has fried your short term memory, or very stupid...

...or if you don't find video game achievements to be very important. Maybe you'd remember some, but you wouldn't remember who you were grouping with when you won the Hierophant's Cloak.
