this isn't just Bush and his presidency that is stirring the pot. here's a quote from one of the more respected presidents in American history and this is 100 years ago...
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
Theodore Roosevelt 1907

The ones people have a problem with aren't coming here in good faith, they're coming here to work illegally, paying no taxes, and send their ill gotten gains back to their home countries, draining capital from the USA. They should all be deported, and even the retards on Fox News were saying they shouldn't be deported because deporting 11 million people would make the US look bad.
I think the illegals should be allowed to become legal residents (NOT citizens, there's already a process for becoming a citizen) if they pay $10,000, which is probably lowballing the amount of back taxes the average one owes, and if they fail to pay taxes at any time in the future they should be deported.

Excellent quote, but it doesn't really apply; assuming you're referring to the current immigration debate.
It's not the "illegals" who are insisting on not becoming full Americans and attempting to maintain divided allegiance; it's that we won't let them become citizens. Most of them would probably be quite happy to be Americans.

Also,
I wonder how many of those marching are illegal immigrants, let alone speak english. In reference to the Mexican immigrants, its f*****g sad that so many are able to cross the border so easily and normal Americans are having to patrol the border to try to stop it (Minutemen).
What's worse is the media tries to turn it into a sob story. Like yesterday I was looking at CNN.com and there was a story about illegals coming across the river, BP stopped them, made them go back, and 1 drowned.
There are ways to get into this country legally. If they decide to go around the system they should all be prepared to suffer the consequences if they get caught.

Give every American citizen one free law to break. Let the illegals become citizens, being here illegally was their one free law. Then I'll go f**k a 6 year old for my free one.
PS. I'm not serious.
Illegals are criminals, treat them as such. If prices on some services go up because there aren't illegals to do the work, so what. If businesses have to break laws in order to be profitable then theres a flaw in our system that needs to be changed rather than using cheap illegal labor.
Also, the media sickens me with their siding on this.
