for the roses - joni mitchell
fast car - tracy chapman
the general - dispatch
there are more but thats what i could think of
for the roses: awesome song .. great guitar .. great lyrics .. she managed to not have a chorus and have an odd rhyme scheme and it still sounds great
fast car: great song .. tracy chapman is also good
the general: one of dispatch's best songs .. but they have many more .. if anything, listen to it just to get into dispatch (which you will probably be missing their free final concert in boston)

If it was good music, I wouldn't have to force you to listen to it. I want to watch you squirm!

I saw Oakenfold spin Born Slippy live on Friday.
He treated us to some old school, none of that Justin Timberlake remix crap. Good, good times.

born slippy is the best underworld song EVER
and underworld is the best techno group EVER
through the transitive property of equality, born slippy is thus the best song ever
(actually, everything underworld does is a g*****n aural riot.. i want to see them live so bad. i'm not even big on concerts, i've only ever been to 1 in my life... but omfg do i want to drop a tab and go see underworld)

Lenny Kravitz - If You Can't Say No
3 I hate: (Torture Music)
Eifel 65 - I'm Blue

Daryly Worly - Have You Forgotten
Toby Keith - American Soldier

I was torn between Wish You Were Here and Shine On You Crazy Diamond, but in the end I decided on Shine On because it's longer and that saxophone bit in the middle of the first part is sheer transcendence.
Lyrically, both are the apotheosis of The Floyd, although, taken as an album, Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall are more unified imo, Have A Cigar and Welcome To the Machine seem somewhat out of place stylistically on the album.

I love Floyd and bought that CD because Wish You Were Here is my favorite song by them, and obviously I heard the entire album was one of their best.
But... I dunno. I just didn't 'get' Crazy Diamond the one time I listened to it. Maybe I'll revist it tonight, it's been years and I've got time.

Belinda Carlisle - Heaven is a place on earth
Brittany Spears - Lucky
Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Want to have Fun
<3
or prolly more like Sublime - Jailhouse, 311 - Prisoner, Death Cab for Cutie - Blacking out the Friction... or something like that... but then again you should be listening to that anyway or shoot yourself...also maybe Coheed for Cambria - In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3.. just 'cause I'm on a Coheed kick lately.
