It probably would. It wouldn't change an educated person's mind though one would hope. imo it's pretty clear Bush is calling the shots and doesn't really care about what anyone else thinks.

I think if Powell were president, he'd have Bush's ass thrown in prison.

If Bush put Powell on the ticket the election would be a no contest. It wouldn't lock down the "black vote" but it defintely split it. Enough fence sitters would vote for him as well that it would go from a 50/50 contest to 55/45.

Personally I don't think Powell wants the job.

But that's just my opinion.

Anti-bush/conservative/republicans would claim Powell is an uncle tom or house n****r if you will for Bush, just like they do with Rice.

I don't know if it would sway "the black vote" as much as people think it would.

It would sway more independents than blacks and steal some of the dem "pro-minority" thunder. It wouldn't take much to sway this election.

But ya, if you are black and not a socialist then you are a self hating "Uncle Tom" as far as the dem's are concerned. So much for "diversity".

Don't ask.. no one, not even he knows what his latest tirade is about. I think WheresNWS is seriously losing it. He seems almost demented in his posting fervor.

He reminds me of the movie the Witches of Eastwick... the old lady that gets obsessed with "whores" and freaks out in church. Totally deranged.

-Jesus!-

A week or two ago, leftists tried to plant some rumor that Bush was dumping Cheney. They were wrong of course.

I suppose you're just making that up. Or maybe you can provide some evidence that it was "leftists", and that it was attempt to "plant a rumor".

"People" have certainly been discussing Bush dumping Cheney for a long time now. I recall The Economist (not particularly noted for their leftist leanings) having an article on it probably six months ago. It would probably be a very smart move on Bush's part, which is why I hope he doesn't do it.

Yeah, but the left tried to plant a rumor that a final decision was made that Cheney was dropped. As is often the case, they were wrong.

Well when a dozen news outlets run the same "report", one must find it odd.

f**k no edits...

Confused.. every major newspaper also runs "reports" that Demi Moore is having an affair or that JLo is getting married again and that terrorists aren't having any luck hijacking planes lately do they're going to move on to schoolbuses.

What's your f*****g point? People gossip. It's not a left thing, not a right thing, it's not a gay thing or a straight thing. People f*****g gossip. They assume, they imply, they infer.

Get the f**k over it, g*****n you're hopeless.

Yes. I don't think it's a conspiracy, but the story obviously originated from one location (probably the DNC) and the liberal press just loves to eat that stuff up. This falls under my definition of an ideological conspiracy.
