Since there is something wrong with the forums as of yet, I just got this e-mail today 4/19/08 - which was obviously a scam. I was trying to sell my account on craig's list which is where this comes from. Please put this in the right location if it isn't. Thank you

Link broken for safety, though i left it so people know. This scam will log all data entered. You "log in" with username & password then "verify" you are the owner with address, cd-key, etc.. so the scammers can call Blizzard directly to recover the account without needing e-mail confirmation. I have no sympathy at all for anyone who falls for it though, .net is bad enough, nevermind the fact that closed beta hasn't been discussed at all with the WoW community. Ignore these e-mail's, the beta pages are made by idiots who from judging by the forums i've read have no clue what they are doing with phishing scams.

Yep that is a scam all right. Every time I put something on Craigs list people try that crap.
