Remember the whole drama you were ranting and raving about the broadcast networks not airing Bush's State of the Union Address?
See, it's all about ratings and money. They're not showing much of the DNC and RNC either. Most of that is being carried by cable companies. God forbid a presidential convention force the latest teen-angst melodrama to stay off the air.

Sweetheart... A State of the Union address where the president lets us know whats up with our country and a boring ass Rah Rah convention are two totally different things...
Besides .. I already conceeded that it was probably mostly financially driven...

Yes.. to more discerning folks, they are more different things... to the majorly bored American public it's "all that political crap"
Why is the State of the Union so important, anyways? President telling us what's up with our country? What, like we don't know already?
For all intents and purpose, a State of the Union address is just as much of a rah rah fest as a convention, only there's no opponent in the former.
